Campus Care
Our Staff provides personal assistance and services to support
our residents such as medication, reminders, companionship and
personal care.
Transportation Services
The Canterbury Motor coach makes regularly scheduled trips to
area banks, grocery stores and pharmacies. It also provides
transportation for group outings to the theatre, symphony, DIA and
a wide variety of off campus events. Additional transportation
services can be scheduled by appointment for door-to-door service
to doctor's appointments, trips to the airport, bus station or
family events. Wheelchair accessible vehicle is available.
The Heritage Room
Residents can invite friends over to enjoy the ambiance and
elegance of our formal living room. This setting offers many
sitting areas adorned with antiques, vaulted decorative ceilings
and a Steinway grand piano. Relax and reminisce in front of a
gorgeous fireplace.
VCTV
In-house TV system is displayed on channel 65. This allows
information i.e.; activities, outings and special events to be
broadcast to all residents on a daily basis. Movie specials play on
Thursday and Sunday.
The Mary Thompson Library
Made possible by a donation from the Mary Thompson Foundation.
The library is a quiet and comfortable room to browse the many
books and magazines or to sit down and read for hours. Canterbury
has their own collection of books enhanced by books and audiotapes
from the Waterford Township Library.
Facility Services
Facility Services is a team of dedicated men and women who
provide on-going service and support for your comfort and safety.
We are trained professionals in areas such as housekeeping, general
maintenance and skilled trades. Whether it is painting, plumbing or
handyman services, we have the right person for the job with just a
single call to our help desk. From computer set-up and support to
lawn and gardening, we have services available to cover your needs
within the walls and out.

Dining Experiences
Canterbury-on-the-Lake is known for it's excellent
cuisine. Our Executive chef and his team of professionals will
tantalize your taste buds whether dining in the elegant Iris Room,
the Orchid Dining Room, or while absorbing the atmosphere in the
Pub. You may also enjoy being pampered in one of our private dining
rooms with a special catered event from Canterbury-on-the-Lake.

St. Luke's Memorial Chapel and Cultural Center
The Chapel serves as both a place for worship and
a cultural center for many events here at Canterbury. The acoustics
are perfect for organ and vocal concerts. A small unobtrusive video
camera can broadcast any chapel even through our in-house cable
channel.
Nature Trail and Lake Side Viewing Platforms
Canterbury-on-the-Lake was built on 40 wooded
acres bordering a small lake. Nesting egrets, deer and other
wildlife can be encountered while walking along our nature trail
that winds its way through the woods. Two stone walkways lead to
viewing platforms overlooking different aspects of the lake.
